Theatre Arts I
Grade 9th – 12th
This is a basic introduction to theatre. The students will study acting, play production, theatre appreciation,
and cultural literacy. Students will perform pantomimes, improvisations, duet scenes, and monologues.
Opportunities will be given for students to perform for an audience at least three times during the school
year.
Theatre Arts II
Grade 10th – 12th
Prerequisite (Theatre Arts I & Teacher Recommendation)
This is a performance class. Students will be expected to memorize a variety of parts to perform for their
peers and the public in three or four performances during the school year. Students will also have
production responsibilities. Playwriting and directing will also be a part of this course. Rehearsals and
performances are mandatory.
Theatre Arts III/IV
Grade 11th – 12th
