     DECA is a marketing association for high school students.  It develops future leaders in marketing, management, and entrepreneurship.  Students have the opportunity to compete at the regional, state and national level.  They also have the opportunity to attend several leadership conferences and other trips throughout the school year.

This year Station Camp High School students have the opportunity to compete and attend regional competitions at Middle Tennessee State University.  If they qualify at regionals, they will attend state competitions at the Franklin Marriot.  From there, if they qualify, they will also be taking a trip to Chicago during the second semester.

SCHS DECA officers kicked the year off with DECA week.  The goal of this week was to promote this organization throughout the school and encourage other students to join DECA.  Officers hung up posters throughout the school, "DECA-rated" the lockers of fellow DECA members, and placed informative fliers on lunch room tables.  The biggest promotional activity throughout the week was the "DECA Diamond" hunt.  Officers hid several DECA diamonds throughout the building for students to find and receive a prizes.

Station Camp High School DECA is looking forward to growing significantly in the next few years.  The chapter hopes to send more members to the higher levels of competition, and assist them in placing amongst the top achievers in the nation.
