Mission Statement

We believe that it is a necessity to enlighten the student body regarding the abusive treatment of animals by man and fostering a respect for all forms of life.  By learning to respect animal life, students will gain a greater awareness and appreciation for human life.

Once animal abuse is curtailed, the dignity of human life can be restored.  In our meetings, we will discuss different issues of animal abuse and what actions to take to prevent further abuse.  Some issues of animal abuse we may discuss are: the frivolous nature of the fur trade, animals used for entertainment, the dangers of consuming meat, the unnecessary experimentation on animals, and the lack of respect for wildlife with regards to hunting.

Activities for CARE

  • Educating members of our group thorough literature, leaflets, pamphlets, videos, books, periodicals, newspapers, forums, etc.

  • Disseminating the aforementioned to our school library and student body.

  • Set up a display table in our library regarding animal rights issues in our community and throughout the world.

  • Volunteer work with the Humane Society and bringing puppies for pet therapy to nursing homes and other care facilities.

  • Hold events for Earth Day, National Meat-Out Day, National Shelter Appreciation Week, and World Farm Animals Day.

  • Write letters to state legislators and representatives asking them to support animal rights laws.

  • Expostulating our position with regards to circuses, rodeos, and animal abuse in any form.
