2008 STATE CROSS COUNTRY A-AA STATE RUNNERUP

The 2008 Bison pose on the state podium with their meet runner-up award.

Charlie Jordan (center right holding award) led the Station Camp effort with an individual 8th place finish.

The team finished second to Nashville MLK by 10 points.  Observers feel that the Bison were in fourth place with

under a quarter mile left in the 3.1 mile race.  The guys all passed opponents, scoring points and earning Station Camp's

best finish ever.  The state meet ended an unbelieveable year for the squad as the boy's posted a season record of 246

wins against 16 losses.

Ryne "Squeaky" Sexton
2003 A-AA State Cross Country Champion

In three trips to the state meet, "Squeaky" finished 7th, 1st, and 5th.

His victory in 2003 was the first ever state championship

for Station Camp High School in any sport.
